Description
The hand-carved wooden cuckoo calls the hours on the hour and once on the half hour. As it appears from its door, it moves its wings and is accompanied by a clear cuckoo call and a traditional gong.
For 2026, this elaborately designed Black Forest house has been significantly enhanced with numerous additional details. In particular, the many hand-carved fir trees and the characteristic bell tower give this clock its exceptional Black Forest charm.
The carvings are exceptionally deep and rich in detail. Every tree, wood texture, and decorative element is carefully crafted by hand, creating remarkable depth and a highly three-dimensional appearance.
Despite its compact size, the technical construction was specially redesigned in 2026 to provide an especially beautiful and harmonious cuckoo call as well as a full and pleasant gong sound. This results in a sound quality normally found only in much larger cuckoo clocks.
The dial, numerals, and hands are also made entirely of wood. The chains and all visible metal components are dark burnished, perfectly complementing the warm tone of the wood.
This model features a manual night shut-off.
The clock is stained in a walnut finish and protected with a high-quality wax coating.
All carvings are handcrafted and personally signed by Christophe Herr. Each clock is therefore a genuine one-of-a-kind piece, handmade in the Black Forest.
